Whipped Feta Dip Recipe

Ingredients

This creamy feta dip is a Mediterranean dream, and it couldn’t be easier.  You’ll only need a few ingredients to make it:

Feta Cheese: The base of the dip, brings that signature salty, tangy flavor we all love.

Greek Yogurt:  Adds a luscious creaminess and mellows out the saltiness of the feta. (Sour cream works too!). 

Lemon: A squeeze of fresh lemon juice brightens everything up. Zest it in for an extra layer of citrus flavor if you want.

Olive Oil: Extra virgin olive oil adds richness and creaminess. Plus, a drizzle on top makes it extra appealing.

Garlic: adds a subtle sharpness. (Feel free to skip it if you’re not a garlic fan.)

Spices: I love freshly ground black pepper and Italian seasoning, but feel free to experiment: add paprika, cumin powder, or any other spices you like!

For this simple recipe, you’ll only need:

  • Food processor/immersion blender
  • Rubber spatula
  • Plate to serve feta dip

Instructions​

Toss some feta, Greek yogurt, a drizzle of olive oil, a squeeze of lemon, your favorite spices, and a clove of garlic into a food processor (I love adding a pinch of oregano and black pepper).

Blend it all up until it’s perfectly smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the food processor to make sure everything gets blended evenly.

Now, here’s the important part: taste it! Does it need more lemon? Another pinch of spice? A touch more olive oil? Adjust it to your liking. If your dip seems a bit thick, add a spoonful or two of extra Greek yogurt to loosen it up.

Once the flavor is perfect, pop it in the fridge for an hour or two. Chilling allows the flavors meld together and gives the dip that perfect, spreadable texture.
